Biography
Hey there! I’m Suchita, a motivated graphic designer and a passionate surface pattern designer. My vibrant designs draw inspiration from nature and geometry. Please don’t forget to visit my shop on Spoonflower
I live with my family in the Netherlands. I believe in simple and quiet living. As a child, I was always drawing and being creative. My dream was to attend an Art Academy, but it was not allowed back then. Instead of that, I went to a science school and excelled with a doctorate (PhD). But I realized that inner happiness came from art. Therefore, I am a full-time artist after a year-long course as a graphic designer and a three-year self-training as a surface pattern designer. I have learned Procreate, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
My other interests are cooking, traveling, and photography. These give me immense inspiration to hand-paint vibrant florals, food, birds, shapes, and geometrics in my favorite art medium, digital. Procreate highly inspires me – it is easy to learn, provides the possibility to easily save color palettes, and much more. Although it is said that “Artists are born, not made,” I believe nature provides enough inspiration to let a novice become a professional artist. What is required is motivation, an open mind, and silence.
My design gives people a warm and welcoming feeling. That is my goal in life.
From my shop, the designs can be purchased on more than 30 fabrics and 5 different kinds of wallpaper. You can also buy them on several finished home decor items like bedding, tablecloths, curtains, and more. I regularly update my design collection by participating in biweekly Spoonflower competitions.
